Step 1: Your Author Level test

The Author Level Test evaluates your writing strengths and weaknesses on a 24 KEY SKILL, 120 point Rubric. ​It is essentially a hybrid book pitch we use for processing solicited and unsolicited work. The Author Level Test is how you are evaluated for placement in the Author Academy.
Client authors are those who have submitted a book pitch/proposal (Author Test) and are now working with one of our author contracts. Accepting a contract is how you enter the Author Academy.

Level 1 = Ghostwriter Contract 0 - 39 IN NEED OF COACHING (time & practice)
Level 2 = Book Package Contract 40 - 69 ASPIRING (average to good)
Level 3 = Hybrid Contract 70 - 79 SKILLFUL (excellent potential)
Level 4 = Traditional Contract 80 - 99 ACCOMPLISHED (Excellent)
Level 5 = Traditional Contract 100 - 120 ACCOMPLISHED (Exceptional skills)

Step 2: Next Level Author Contract

You will be offered a one-year non-binding writing contract based on your Author Level Test. You may withdraw from the contract at any time.

Our goal is to raise and refine the skill set of any author who brings their work to our door, ready to put in the effort to rise.

Step 3: Author Workshops

Beginning in mid 2025, workshops will be a required part of the author academy.
Each one is six weeks. Certificates are given with successful completion.
Recommended Workshops for levels: 
​Level 1 - Workshop 1
Level 2 - Workshop 1, 2, & 3
Level 3 - Workshop 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5
Levels 4 - Workshop 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6
Workshop 6 is a recommended challenge for all level 4 and 5 authors
