Flex 1099 Contracts Per diem Part-Time Full-Time

Divisions of labor
Flex 1099 Contracts
Individuals who undertake work hours and projects as independent contractors. Paid upon completion of the task or project, but may receive interim payments at specific checkpoints during the project.
Per diem
Employees and Contractors who are on-call to work certain agreed-upon days and hours. Paid weekly.
Part-Time
Employees who usually work less than 32 hours per week or less than 128 hours per month.
Full-Time
Employees who usually work at least 32 hours per week or more than 128 hours in a month.

We are a traditional publishing company offering comprehensive services for book and project authors. These services are delivered by a Team-managed company structure.
WHAT we do:
We deliver comprehensive services for novel and project authors, businesses, and professionals. From proposal to promotion, hobby writers to pros, we help you navigate the complex publishing process. Evaluation, Development, Editing, Design, Formatting, Promotion, Marketing, Distribution, and Writer's Network. Creekside Publishing turns ideas into polished, market-ready work.
WHERE we're going:
We are building a robust team that fosters collaboration and drives innovation in the publishing industry. Our goal is to competitively represent several hundred titles annually.
To put this in perspective, typical number of annual titles and first print runs are:
Micro-publishers - one to a few with small runs, primarily print-on-demand
Small publishers - a few to dozens of titles with first print runs of 250-3000
Medium publishers - hundreds of titles with first print runs of 3000-25000
Large publishers - hundreds to thousands with first print runs of 3000-50000
Major publishers - thousands to tens of thousands 3000-100000 first print runs
1. We have a dedicated core team specializing in critical management areas.
Alongside our core team, we engage numerous creative and editorial contractors to address specific project needs and ensure high-quality outcomes for all clients.
2. As we grow, we will expand our core team to 75 employees across all departments, enhancing our capacity to serve more clients.
3. This growth will allow us to expand our market territory while maintaining top-notch project management.

We run a supportive, highly incentivized work environment that rewards effort and consistency in predictable and quantifiable ways. We are interested in working with people who are self-motivated, self-directed, and with a reasonable temperament.
Our Pay and Work Structure
Pay Range: $16 to $80 per hour for regular jobs, with earnable raises and some work paying up to $300 per hour
Benefits: Cash and non-cash bonuses, commissions, service tips, 401k, and profit sharing.
Calendar: We work within a 28-day work month, from the 1st through the 28th. All 29th, 30th, and 31st days are work-free.
We schedule 20 workdays, Monday through Friday, and one event weekend each month, for a total of 21 workdays.
Work Structure: This is a hybrid space, offering both work-from-home and flexible scheduling options.

Editorial, writing, and design positions can typically be worked from home up to four days a week.

Processing positions work on-site five days each week, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Front-end management works on-site. One Monday to Wednesday, and the other Wednesday to Friday. 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Both work events.

Productions work on-site every Wednesday and as needed for home and fieldwork.

Most positions include some options for remote work and flex scheduling.
On-Site Requirement: Core employees must attend a weekly in-person team meeting, called Jobshots and Masterminds, held on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, either via Zoom or in person at our Perry location. Lunch is provided on-site.
Accommodations: We do not provide smoke or vape breaks. All employees get the same amount of break time.
We consider extenuating circumstances, handicaps, and religious accommodations on a per-request basis.
Twelve weeks of Paid Family Leave is available for new parents who have worked at least 26 weeks for our company.
